Poll/ Should Endrit Shabani have been elected Ombudsman?

The People's Advocate, his selection brought about a series of debates and clashes between the opposition, and between the opposition and the majority.

The opposition, after signing for the candidates, decided at the last moment to withdraw the signatures, an act that was not accepted by the majority because, according to them, the deadline set by the laws committee had passed.

Among the candidates for People's Advocate was Endrit Shabani, a candidacy which the opposition categorically denied.

After numerous discussions in the Laws Committee, where it was voted that the candidates would be put to a vote in parliament, in a marathon session that lasted until the early hours of the morning of December 12, Endrit Shabani was elected Ombudsman.

85 votes in favor, 0 abstentions and 3 against, Endrit Shabani became the People's Advocate.

His election brought numerous reactions both from politics, where the vast majority call it a bargain, and from many citizens who took a critical stance on social media towards Endrit Shabani.
