Vice President of the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration party, Eftim Mitrevski, has spoken about the population census.

Eftim Mitrevski welcomed INSTAT's decision to postpone the population and housing census procedure until November 15, while he said that he requested that the extension of the process also be included in the Municipality of Pustec, for the Macedonian minority.

"We, as a political party Macedonian Alliance for European Integration, first of all welcome the decision of INSTAT to extend the registration period for another two weeks. We request through the media, as well as a political party, we have asked INSTAT that the extension is also included in the area of Prespa, or more precisely in the municipality of Pustec, where the Macedonian minority lives.

This is our goal, we once again welcome this decision, therefore we request that due to the very fact that there are many Macedonians, almost every morning they cross the border working in Macedonia. Now is the apple picking season. Almost 300-400 employees return home once a week. This has been our goal, to send an appeal to INSTAT to extend this period in the Prespa area.

Not everyone was able to register, there has been a period of calm these last two weeks, since even the employees who do the registration, there have been no people due to the very fact that this seasonal work is now there, and we ask that for the period that was extends from INSTAT, to include the Macedonian minority in the area of ??Prespa", said Eftim Mitrevski.

Mitrevski's request to INSTAT came, among other things, as according to him, the citizens of Pustec Municipality are not in their homes, because it is the apple picking period, and the residents go to work seasonally in North Macedonia./ CNA
