On Tuesday, a hearing was held at the Court of Tirana for the examination of the request filed by Gazment Bardhi, for the deregistration of the name of Lulzim Basha as the chairman of the Democratic Party. 

But the session was postponed again and the next one is expected to take place on April 30, during which time the Court of Tirana will also administer the decision of the Supreme Court, which returned the PD case to the Appeal for retrial.

In the same session, it will also be expressed about the legitimacy or not of Basha's group as a party in the process.

On July 27, 2023, the National Council of the DP has decided to request the deregistration of the former chairman of the DP, Basha, from the register of political parties.

The group represented by the latter has requested to become a party in the process./ CNA
