The US captured Maduro/Këlliçi: Head of the drug cartel, leads with

Democratic MP Belind Këlliçi reacted today regarding the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro after an attack by American 'Delta' forces.

Through a post on social media, Këlliçi writes that Maduro, the well-known leader of one of the largest drug cartels, has led with the same model as the country's Prime Minister Edi Rama.

"Maduro, Edi Rama's twin brother, has fallen!"

The US, under the leadership of President Trump, today arrested Venezuela's Narcotics Chief, Nicolas Maduro, as the head of a drug cartel called the Cartel de Los Soles, which was transporting large quantities of drugs to the US.

This cartel is made up of the state's highest military and civilian officials, effectively transforming Venezuela into a narco-state.

This was not a bolt from the blue!

Under the Trump presidency, warnings and crackdowns on drug cartels, even those with state support, have been continuous and serious.

Maduro was nothing more than one of the drug lords who think that with the force of power they can justify their criminal activity, close ties to crime, money laundering, and massive corruption.

Identical to the same model that Edi Rama leads with.

Let's hope that such crackdowns on high-level government-to-crime ties continue with this intensity in the Balkan region, which is taking steps towards integration into the European Union.

"And this integration cannot in any way include drug lords directly involved in drug trafficking, the social and economic destabilization of EU countries," Maduro wrote. /CNA
