Rudina Hajdari: If Azem Hajdari were alive, he would support Olldash, not Basha

Former MP Rudina Hajdari

Former deputy Rudina Hajdari, daughter of Azem Hajdari, former leader of the Student Movement of December 1990, spoke today about the 25th anniversary of her father's murder and about political developments in the opposition front.

Hajdari said that if her father were alive, things in the Democratic Party would be much different today.

She stated that Azem Hajdari would not have allowed the election of Lulzim Basha as head of the DP, but would have supported the late Sokol Olldashi.

"If he were around today, he would be a unitary figure in the DP. The appointment of Basha as president would not have happened if Azem Hajdari was alive, because he never won the hearts of the democrats. If he had been alive at that time, he would have supported Olldash, not Basha," the former MP emphasized./ CNA
