"The face of Kukës is dirty"/ Emri Vata: We live with

The candidate of the Together We Win coalition for mayor in Kukës, Emri Vata, during the speech at the opening of the electoral campaign, promised to whiten the face of the northern city.

Vata raised accusations that the face of Kukës has become dirty, citizens have been stolen and have not been treated as a priority by the government.

"I'm not just an opposition candidate for mayor in Kukës, but I'm your friend and citizen, when you see the face of this city made dirty, I can't stay without trying to clean up my Kukës."

I come before you with the greatest responsibility because the Kuksian people are a very important part of Albania. As an important part, it deserves to be repsketed, invested, developed as a city, the center of the north of Albania. Kukes is not a poor city, but it is stolen.

The extraordinary natural resources, such as Drini i Black, Drini i Bardhë, Gjalica, the Path of Colors, picturesque villages left in oblivion, have potential for the tourist development of our country. The Ministry of Tourism has left our country, Kukës, totally excluded from its projects. But together we can make the return of life in our beloved city a reality", he said.

The opposition candidate cited immigrants as the only source of income and the paid beam as isolation from the rest of Albania.

"Poverty prevails in all our families and the main source of income is remittances. If it were not for our brothers in emigration, many of our families would suffer for their bread. This is totally ridiculous when you consider that our natural resources provide no income to the Kuksians.

The only investment made for us by the government was to separate us from Albania with a beam, as if to remind us that we will not be part of them, completely isolating us and taxing us to reach the rest of Albania", emphasized Vata./ CNA
