"Rama should stop being a dick"/ Shehaj: Albania has the highest fuel

MP and leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, reacted today regarding Prime Minister Edi Rama's positions on oil prices.

In a television appearance, Shehaj stated that Albania has the highest fuel taxes in the entire region, with 60% of its value going to the state.

According to Shehaj, the only reason Albanian citizens pay so many taxes is Rama's policies.

"Today the price of oil has reached 199 lek/liter. In euros it is almost 2.07–2.08 €/liter.
Meanwhile, this is a photo taken today at a gas station in Kosovo. The price of oil is 1.54 €/liter. In Macedonia 1.51 €/liter. In Serbia 1.77 €/liter.
And do you know what the reason is?
Because Albania has the highest fuel taxes in the entire region.
In Albania almost 60% of that value goes to the Albanian state. While in other countries we are talking about about 40%.
So Rama should stop being a jerk because the reason why Albanian citizens pay much more is the taxes that Edi Rama has imposed on oil. The day we are in Government, Albania will have lower oil taxes than any other country in the region", - said Shehaj. /CNA
