Prime Minister Edi Rama in a joint conference with Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kova?evski has shown the reasons that led to the "failure" of the Open Balkans.
He said that this initiative was stalled due to the vetoes set by other countries in the region, but on the other hand, Rama said that if he could go back in time, he would have undertaken this initiative again.
"It brought fantastic things that are in the reality of people who took advantage of the relations with the Open Balkans, especially in the field of trade.
We must immerse ourselves wholeheartedly in the Berlin Process to turn it into a functional process. We can be functional when we are together. The Open Balkans stalled due to vetoes," said Rama.
"I would do the open Balkans 100 times to go back 1000 times.
Open Balkan is one of the 72 initiatives in this region.
What harm has come from the Open Balkans to the region?
Take a look at the trade figures between the countries", further emphasized Rama./ CNA
