Prime Minister Edi Rama complained about Greece during his speech at the summit held in Skopje.

The head of the government said that the EU gives Greece about 400 thousand euros per citizen, while Albania only 110 thousand euros per citizen.

He stated that this is not fair, so he raised his voice to be treated in the same way.

"One of the neighboring countries, which is part of the EU, from the EU earns about 400 thousand euros per citizen, while we receive 110 per citizen, and this is the problem. We are not the best but there is desperation in this direction. We have come to this point which is something big. It is about the different ways we are seen or understood. Europeans without the EU, it is important to say that this is a pretty big challenge and a big benefit if we want to become part of this family. When I say this I mean if you are willing to give something for yourself, not just play games. This is about the maturity test.

You can imagine what position we would be in if the EU was more serious in managing the real issues. That's how it should have been when the Berlin process started, but it happens once a year. That's why we started with the Open Balkans, which was a kind of process for daily politics, for the struggle of power and strength, that we set the agenda as part of this market.

 The former prime minister of Montenegro, a prominent professor said that we cannot join now. I said "join now and we will join Montenegro. The year is 2024 and I don't believe that Montenegro is a member country. I can talk a lot about it, I have energy, it's a historical act, it's something dramatic. Forgive my enthusiasm, I'm not crazy, but there are reasons for my optimism. After we had dinner yesterday we realized that we can do this, we can talk about the economy. When we talk about food you have to admit that you are not the best in the region.

Let's set up a political circle like we had last night, meet regularly. We are Balkans, if you don't come to sit us down at a table together, we can do the dirty work. To have a clear message from the leaders that we must forget history, we must forget which color is our flags, the most important color must be the EU flag. If we want to realize it and not miss this opportunity. When we are in good shape they are in bad shape and vice versa.
