"Government of drugs and poverty"/ Berisha: The regime has devastated

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared today that the socialists' power is based on only two pillars, drugs and poverty.

In his speech at a meeting with the Democrats of Branch 9, Berisha stated that Albania is under a regime that has devastated the country more than any other occupation.

Berisha said that the significant decrease in fertility is one of the country's biggest problems.

"I bow with boundless gratitude to you, your efforts and your contribution to this regime, which has in fact devastated this country more than any other occupation. It has brought this nation before the alternative, to be or not to be. This is because today we are a nation with the birth rate that we had 100 years ago, the lowest in the world, due to the departure of our young people from Albania. In this trend, within decades we are fortunate to have reduced it by half a million. I stopped at this moment to emphasize that we live in a dictatorial system, which has accepted pluralism, but suppresses it without principle by all means, to stay in power. Thus, it continues to be based on two pillars: drugs and poverty", - declared Berisha./CNA
