The SP candidate, Edison Memolla, won the Rrogozhina municipality with 23 more votes, in the race with Shkëlqim Hoxha of the "Together We Win" coalition.

The political leader of the district of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, spoke about this victory with a narrow margin in a statement from the pink headquarters.

He stated that the result in Rrogozhin gave them the message that the socialists should work harder for the citizens and should not go into euphoria from the victory.

"It ended with a victory with 23 votes, which will give us the right to celebrate but not to be euphoric. We are reading Rrogozhina's message very clearly, with 23 votes is a tie. So we don't want to be arrogant, conceited, but the message he gave us is to be down to earth and even though we were voted by 50%, we must serve 100% of the citizens. I want to thank from the bottom of my heart those who did not vote for us because they gave us a message, a message that still has tensions and differences between the citizen and urban population.

They are differences that we need to address immediately. There is an extraordinary need to continue to raise the bar, when people see how in some urban areas there is a well-being and there is investment in urban planning, they expect the same in the most remote village. So I guarantee you that we are reading that message very clearly and although today we will be happy about that victory, we will never go into euphoria and we will not take that message as a license not to serve", emphasized Veliaj./ CNA.al
