"Process towards digital maps by 2027"/ Rama: 300 thousand

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his speech at the Socialist Party Assembly in unit 14 in Tirana, focused on the legalization process. Rama announced that so far, around 300 thousand legalizations have been carried out nationwide, while the process continues for the remaining cases.

He explained that there are also constructions that cannot be legalized due to legal violations, such as constructions on collectors, roads or in unsuitable areas.

The Prime Minister spoke about the delays in processing applications, saying that there is inequality between citizens who have applied in different years. According to him, there are cases where applicants who have been waiting since 2010 have not yet received a response, while others with more recent applications have been processed more quickly.

In this context, Rama announced the construction of a new system with clear criteria, based on the year of application, to guarantee more transparency and fairness in the legalization process.

He also emphasized that work is underway to create digital maps, which will significantly facilitate procedures and data management. According to the Prime Minister, the objective is for the entire legalization process to be fully digitalized by 2027.

"A total of around 300,000 legalizations have been done. There are still legalizations to be done. But there are some cases that cannot be done, because it was built either on collectors or on roads or other problems. What worries me is why someone who expects in 2010 has to wait, while someone who requested legalization in 2018 gets it ahead of time? A system with clear criteria will be established for years. But the work continues and legalizations are done every day. We are making digital maps to facilitate the process. During 2027, everything will be digitalized. Regarding pensions, the increase will continue, because the opportunities have increased, because the economy has grown ," said Rama.
