Fuel prices/ Rama: We will monitor transit oil, it allows for more control

Prime Minister Edi Rama, present at the SP Assembly in Unit 7, also spoke about fuel prices and the current situation in the international market.

Rama said that it is now understood that oil prices in the country are affected by a crisis that is worldwide.

The socialist leader stated that the price of oil is higher than in other countries in the region since the circulation tax is included, and if this tax is removed, vehicle users will pay it at a rate that is four times what they currently pay.

Rama further said that the government will introduce a product for tracking transit oil, which will enable more control in the oil market.

" People are worried about the price of oil that is increasing due to the war, a war that we did not even start. People have now understood how we are affected by a crisis that is happening all over the world. The price of oil in some countries is much higher than here. What interests people is what we are doing and what we can do. It is higher than in the surrounding countries because we also have a turnover tax. If we remove the tax, the price will fall, but those who have a vehicle will have to pay four times what they have to pay today. We have undertaken to transform how the activity in the oil market is carried out, by creating a public company, which will undertake to guarantee the reserve. Strategic reserves are important, we cannot risk being left without oil in the future. This public company should also be an oil supplier and have an impact by taking the side of consumers, not distributors.

"Transit oil is another gray area of ??the trading space. One product that we will introduce now will be the transit oil tracking product, which will allow us more control in the oil market ," Rama said./CNA
