Today's plenary session has begun in the Parliament. DP MP Tritan Shehu has requested that today's plenary session discuss the US embassy's warning that groups linked to Iran may target US-linked entities in Albania.

"Yesterday there was a serious announcement from the American embassy in Tirana about the threat from Iran. I do not see a reaction from the Albanian government regarding this. This is serious because it is related to the insecurity in the Albanian territory and in public life. It indicates something that as deputies we should ask the government to clarify for us. The government and intelligence institutions should have clarified the citizens ," said the deputy.

In response to the MP, Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha stated that there is no reason to be alarmed. Hoxha stated that the situation is safe and said that his statement also stems from contacts with Washington and NATO countries.

"I appreciate the concern. I want to make sure that we are closely following the statements of our partners and are in contact with those in Washington and those in NATO. There is no reason to be alarmed. The situation is absolutely safe. Other ministries will definitely inform through the appropriate channels ," Hoxha said. /CNA
