EU Integration/ Rama: Things are changing in every part of the country's

Prime Minister Edi Rama held a conversation with students this morning regarding the negotiation process for membership in the European Union.

Rama said that the more you follow the process, the more you realize how far you are from the European Union.

Among other things, he added that with membership in the union, Albanian students will not be strangers in European cities and can freely choose work in EU countries.

The head of government stated that with integration, things change in every part of the country's life.

"It seems to many that we are in Europe as long as we move freely and can live and work freely. This process is such that the more you follow it, the more you learn how far away a country is that is not within the EU. When you cross the threshold of a university, you are foreign students and as such you are treated differently. You do not have the same conditions as European students. If you want to have access to other services, you pay much more than European students. With EU membership, you are local both in universities in Tirana and in any of the cities of Europe. And so you do not pay more than locals. You can choose a job not only within the city of Tirana, but in any city in Europe as a local. In every part of the country's life, things are completely different. Never before has Albania had the smile of fortune, as it has in recent years. We have done a great job to change the position of Albania, which until yesterday was despised. The EU has opened the door and not just with words", said Rama. /CNA
