Allegations about votes from the diaspora/ Kaso: CEC to conduct a full audit

The Secretary for Legal and Electoral Affairs at the Democratic Party, Ivi Kaso, today requested from the Central Election Commission to conduct a full audit, with independent experts, of all steps in the process of counting votes from the diaspora.

Kaso said that the DP demands from the CEC not to issue any results and not to finally approve any table for the diaspora until the independent audit submits its conclusions on the process and provides full transparency on the Albanian vote.

In a statement to the media, Kaso stated that the catastrophic failure of this process everywhere, but especially in Greece, is revealed daily, with evidence, before the eyes of citizens.

"As the final diaspora votes are counted, the process is not only becoming increasingly ridiculous, but has clearly gotten out of hand for those who engineered this electoral massacre."

Today, we officially request the Central Election Commission to conduct a full audit, with independent experts, of all steps of this fundamentally corrupt process, starting from voter registration, from the production of the ballot from abroad and every other step, to the administration of the ballot that has arrived and the release of the results for each district.

We also ask the CEC not to release any results and not to finalize any table for the diaspora until the independent audit submits its conclusions on the process and provides full transparency on the Albanian vote.

This process has already completely collapsed.

"We cannot, unfortunately, save the face of this process which, with the insistence of the Democratic Party, aimed to grant the missing right to Albanians outside Albania, but which was corrupted to the core and disintegrated before the eyes of all Albanians, due to the evil will of this majority!" - said Kaso. /CNA
