Completion of the counting process in Durrës/Bylykbashi: Rama did not

The leader of the Democratic Party for the Durrës region, Oerd Bylykbashi, reacted after the completion of the vote counting for the Durrës region.

In a status on social networks, Bylykbashi thanked Democratic voters and the DP structures of the Durrës district.

Bylykbashi writes that Rama used every means to achieve the 9th mandate in Durrës, which he had foreseen in Kuçi's "memorandum", but he did not succeed.

The vote count for the Durrës district, including the diaspora, ended today.

I humbly and wholeheartedly thank every voter who voted for the DP, its coalition for the program and vision it offered: CHANGE.

I thank every democrat, member and sympathizer, who did not simply vote, but did their best to convince their family, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances that Albania cannot continue to be robbed by Edi Rama.

I thank those structures and leaders of the DP of Durrës, Shijak, Kruja and Fushë Kruja, for their work, beyond the aggression and pressures we faced, the difficulties and shortcomings we had in these difficult years. The DP is grateful and indebted to everyone who worked with sacrifice, without complaining.

I thank all the candidates, individually and in teams, for the campaign they did, door to door and hand to hand. It was an honor to be together in this battle. Thank you Gent Strazimiri, Igli Cara, Manjola Luku, Artan Luku, Arian Ndoja, Aulon Kalaja, Andia Ulliri, Edlira Harizi, Emri Vata, Skënder Dika, Viola Kapidani, Ilirjana Kuçana, Shyqyri Myrtollari, Jola Hysi, Ndrec Pjetri, Petro Vokopola, Adriatik Hoxha and Pëllumb Shullazi.

Without all of you, your work and your vote, Edi Rama would have achieved the objective of 9 mandates in Durrës, being among the few districts where the DP maintained the 2021 result. Thanks to our joint effort with faith, the DP and the opposition in the Durrës district are among the few cases that resisted the attack of Edi Rama's alliance and his political state with organized crime, the tens of millions of euros that the state threw and the same amount thrown by crime, patronage, pressures of any form, corruption with state money and favors.

Edi Rama also used the manipulation of the diaspora vote to seize the 9th mandate, as he declared with great certainty in Kuçi's "memorandum". He did not succeed. This is a fact. But it is no consolation./ CNA
