Today, the counting of preferential votes in several districts of the country concluded.

After this, some candidates have requested video footage of the count or recount from both the Socialists and the Democrats.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has also reacted to these complaints from the candidates, sending them a message of his own.

In the message obtained by the media, Rama writes that he cannot stop anyone from requesting filming or recounts, but advises them not to go down that path.

Further, Rama's message to the Socialists states that there is no chance of vote deviations.

The prime minister's message also states that these demands cast a shadow over the SP's counters.

" I have sadly received notice of several individual initiatives, to request filming, recounts and who knows what else for preferential voting!

Of course, I can't stop anyone from acting with their own head, but since we are still a team in this window – and I want us to stay that way – I would advise against going down that path. Because, first of all, losing a race shouldn't be a reason to lose face, when in fact there is no chance, zero, that with all those eyes on the screens, there will be vote deviations of a magnitude that would close the gap between anyone and those who have emerged as winners – not by 10 or 20, but by many more votes than the next in line.

"Secondly, this means casting a shadow over our people, who have stood endlessly at the counting tables, and who do not deserve such a shadow of doubt for their great contribution. And finally, imagine for yourself how bad anyone who will enter this path will feel, feeding the media entity, when in the end, the impregnated mountain may not even produce a mouse ," Rama's message reads./ CNA
