The round of electoral meetings within the May 14 elections continued in the 2nd and 3rd districts of the city. In his speech, the political leader of the Korça district, Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi emphasized that thanks to the program built by the mayor Sotiraq Filo, Korça will move at a faster pace to move towards another level of development.

"If everyone loves the city as the people of Kor?a love Kor?a, Albania would be a country of the European standard. We want to move forward at a faster pace. We don't look back and get complacent. We are the first, but we must work to remain the first. We have a program that we will all support because it is a program that is not complacent but it is an ambitious program. It is a program that looks ahead and takes Korça to another level", said Peleshi.

For the mayor of the municipality, Sotiraq Filo, in addition to the work done and major projects for the next mandate, the focus of Korça with him as mayor will be the young men and women. For this, according to Filos, there will be maximum commitment for young people to find in Korça the same standards that European cities offer them.

"The transformation that Korça has undergone is extraordinary. We have invested in cultural heritage, in projects for children. Now the gasification project will complete the infrastructure investment. Thermal insulation is an equally important project to increase energy efficiency and avoid costs. We will organize the competition for the city stadium, which completes the sports area. The airport in Lumalas will start in a few months, which will give impetus to the development of tourism and adventure sports. Mountain tourism will be more developed after the construction of the big runway that we have a project for. In the focus of the municipality we have young men and women. We want Korça to be the city that will welcome young people and give them the same standards as in European cities", says Sotiraq Filo./ CNA.al
