The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has stated that the quality of the water that goes to citizens' taps is the responsibility of the building administrators.

In an interview for Euronews Abania, Veliaj claimed that the municipality has the duty to bring the water to the door of the building, then the distribution belongs to the administrator.

According to him, there are many administrators who are negligent and the challenge is to make everyone responsible.

" It depends a lot on the neighborhood and the administrator who has that deposit. In some buildings this work is done very well, in other buildings an administrator is completely negligent and does not change the filters. The Municipality of Tirana has a contract to bring it to the door of the building, from that moment it is the administrator's responsibility. Today in 3 thousand out of 5 thousand buildings we have an administrator, now the challenge is to make everyone responsible. This happened in every country in the world ," he said./CNA.al
