The leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, stated today that the opposition should not be exclusionary, but inclusive.

In a television appearance, Mediu focused on the political situation in the country, emphasizing that an important task of the opposition is to unite around programs and not around individuals.

Regarding his role in PR, Mediu said that it is not the time for him to step down from the leadership.

"Absolutely, there is always a time when you have to look at the political direction and the decisions that you have to make, and I have said that if there are two people that I am grateful to in the political process, one is Sabri Godo and Sali Berisha. The political rotation must be seen. This should not be seen only because of a moment of personal feeling.

The Republican Party has many young people with authority who make it possible to lead the Republican Party, but in the situations we have had, I think it needs everyone's contributions. This is not the time for the opposition to be exclusionary, but inclusive.

"The first task is the organization and functioning of the Democratic Party in every polling center with its entire history, the unification of the opposition around programs, not around individuals, and the inclusion of every opposition entity in this relationship," said Fatmir Mediu. /CNA
