Prime Minister Edi Rama, invited to the "Opinion" show by journalist Blendi Fevziu, was also asked about the Sazan case, the relationship with Jared Kushner, and when construction is expected to begin.

Referring to the news that the island of Sazan has been sold to Donald Trump's son-in-law, Rama categorically denied it, saying that Sazan is the property of the Albanian state and people and will never be sold.

Regarding the constructions to be carried out on the island of Sazan, the Prime Minister said that the Albanian government will be a partner with the business group and the partnership negotiations have not yet been completed. The cooperation agreement will be passed in Parliament, Rama announced.

" The island of Sazan is an asset of the Albanian state and people. It has not been sold and will never be sold. We will be partners, the Albanian government will be a partner with the group. The partnership negotiations have not yet been completed, it will pass through Parliament. Sazan and Zvërnec are still in the project phase ," said Rama.

Rama also spoke about news in international media that Jared Kushner was given the green light by Rama after Trump went to the White House.

The Prime Minister stated that when the agreement was reached with the Albanian government and Jared Kushner, it was not known whether Trump would be president. Regarding the Zvërnec case, the Prime Minister stated that it is a private story.

Rama also spoke about when construction is expected to begin in Sazan, for which he said that the procedures will not take too long since most of the steps have been taken. The Prime Minister announced that the full project is expected to be presented to the public very soon.

" It is unfortunate how this process has been interpreted by the international media. When I met Jared, Trump did not know whether he would go to the White House or to prison. For me, they have been and are American investors. Albania is not a place where conflicts between parties can be transferred to America. My relationship with Kushner has been a friendly relationship. His request and our request have been symmetrical. The agreement has not been completed yet, we do not have a completed agreement for Sazani. Zvërnec is a private story.

"The procedures will not take long. Many steps have been taken. I believe that in a few months we will have the complete master plan that will be presented to the public. The way it is being worked on will set a new standard in the hospitality infrastructure in Albania and the Mediterranean ," the prime minister said./ CNA
