"Tax reductions and benefits in terms of benefits, to promote the success of women and girls entrepreneurs in Tirana".

This was Belind Kelliç's commitment during a meeting he held with women entrepreneurs in the capital. The candidate of the opposition for the municipality of Tirana, presented the plan for the reduction of local taxes and fees, which will affect 45 thousand small businesses in Tirana, many of which are run by women.
 
"I promised, and it will be a reality after May 14, the reduction of the education infrastructure tax. A very important tax to mention, due to the very fact that all the business ladies here know very well that they pay this tax twice: they pay it once as a business and once as a family. We will also remove the tax for agricultural land, for the part that belongs to the municipality. We will reduce four other taxes to the extent of 30%: hotel accommodation tax, information board tax, land tax, building tax. In the meantime, we will reduce the two main fees: the green cleaning fee, which is a fee that often burdens your pockets, but on the other hand, you do not receive the cleaning service in your businesses. I have received this concern from the vast majority of businesses.says Belind Kelliçi.
 
He also indicated that the reduction of taxes and local fees will formalize many businesses, which currently use forms of corruption against the tax administration, in order not to pay taxes. According to Belind Këlliç, the international reports of the World Bank show that the municipality of Tirana led by Erion Veliaj has a number of 38% of businesses that do not collect taxes, this is an indicator of the high level of abuse. 
 
"Due to the increase without any logic of local taxes and fees, during these 8 years, informality, which means the number of businesses that do not pay taxes and fees, has increased significantly. According to official World Bank data, made public last year, today as we speak, at least 38% of taxes in the capital are not collected by the municipality. This indicates informality and a very high level of corruption. This has produced a quite unusual situation, where on the one hand businesses that pay taxes go to the limits of survival, while businesses that avoid taxes try to corrupt the tax administration, or go bankrupt. My plan for the reduction of taxes and fees will make it possible for all businesses to actually have the opportunity to pay their taxes," said Belind Kelliçi.
 
For this reason, Belind Kelliçi asked for the support of women and girls in Tirana, to put an end to Erion Veliaj's corrupt model in the capital's municipality.

"No more than two weeks ago, five of the main chambers of commerce in Tirana, in Albania, the American Chamber, the German Chamber, the Italian Chamber, the French Chamber and Konfindrustria, came out for the first time in a joint statement where they expressed concern about the level of corruption, informality and the hostile climate as a whole towards business in Albania, but in Tirana in particular. I believe that 8 years have been enough for you to test what the one who leads us today at the head of the Tirana municipality is capable of doing. You have seen his model until today and you will not have anything similar to what you have seen up to these 8 years from Erion Veliaj in the municipality that welcomes the citizens of Tirana after May 14" - said Këlliçi.
 
During the meeting, Belind Kelliçi committed that after May 14, the political selections in the granting of soft loans to families in Tirana, where many women and girls who come from the vulnerable category of society, often remain without benefit.

“Nuk duhet të bëhet kualifikim politik apo selektim politik kur vjen puna te një çështje kaq e rëndësishme, saç është kredia e butë për strehim, sidomos kur flasim për zonja që mund të jenë të veja, sidomos kur flasim për familje në nevoja ekstreme ekonomike në vështirësi shumë të thella ekonomike, apo dhe kur flasim për familje që nuk kanë asnjë njeri të punësuar, apo nuk kanë asnjë mundësi për të përballuar jetesën në Tiranë”- tha Këlliçi.
 
Gratë sipërmarrëse në Tiranë, kanë mirëpritur dhe shprehur mbështetjen për programin e Belind Këlliçit, ndërsa kanë treguar se nga viti në vit, qeveria e drejtuar nga Edi Rama dhe bashkia e drejtuar nga Erion Veliaj, po çon drejt falimentit biznesin në kryeqytet.

“Në fund të vitit 2019, ishin në fakt 25.4 % gratë sipërmarrëse nga totali i ndërmarrjeve aktive, flasim gjithmonë. Pra kemi një rënie të numrit të grave që drejtojnë. Do ju them vetëm një fakt: as pandemia nuk mbylli aq biznese sa mbylli inflacioni dhe rritja e kostos këtë vit në 2022-in, në Tiranë, po Tirana mban kampion, edhe në gjithë Shqipërinë. Taksa progresive që këta kërkojnë të miratojnë me këtë ligj që ata duan të miratojnë për profesionet e lira, të jeni të bindur  se kjo kategori e profesioneve të lira që janë të formalizuara në treg do të falimentojnë shumë shpejtë”-u shprehën disa nga pjesëmarrëset në takim.
 
During the meeting with women and girls entrepreneurs in Tirana, Belind Këlliçi also presented his 5 priorities for running the municipality, such as: free public transport, tax reduction, construction of nurseries, kindergartens and schools, the underpass to "Skënderbej Square" or the construction of 500 green oases, which will become a reality after May 14.
