Bejko's spokeswoman complains/ "Veliaj deceives about the construction

The head of the DP campaign for Tirana, Mirela Karabina, has complained again about the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, claiming that he has committed fraud and that he does not tell the truth in meetings for the electoral campaign, but manipulates public opinion.

Karabina emphasizes that the number of schools that have been built in Tirana does not coincide with what Veliaj says during his electoral meetings.

Among other things, he said that schools continue to have two shifts because of the density of students.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, for several days now, in electoral meetings, in the media and everywhere else, he does not miss the opportunity to mention the fact that he has built 40 schools without specifying and clarifying the truth about them. This is another fraud of Erion Veliaj, who has turned fraud and manipulation of public opinion into a profession for 8 years running the Municipality of Tirana.

Erion Veliaj, who holds the record of the politician who did everything contrary to what he promises and says, even in this case, deceives the citizens of Tirana every day regarding the construction of new schools. Tirana has 94 schools in total. Throughout the years 2016-2023, 34 existing schools have been demolished, rebuilt and reconstructed without increasing the capacity of the Preschool Education and Pre-University Education service. Only 9 new added schools have been built, and these in the suburban urban areas: ¨Vaçe Zela¨ school in Don Bosko, ¨Kristo Frasheri¨ Don Bosko school, ¨Nene Tereza¨ school in Kamëz, ¨Jon Kenedi¨ school in Kamëz, the ¨Vangjel Noti¨ school in Laprakë, the ¨Bashkim Fino¨ school in Student City, the ¨Kiço Blushi¨ school in 5 Mayi, the high school 5 Mayi, the ¨Luan Hajdaraga¨ school in Fresku.

A totally insufficient number for the city of Tirana in relation to the growth of the city's population.

Also, Erion Veliaj lies every day when he says that there are no more shift schools. Albanian families, parents know very well that teaching in many schools continues to be carried out in two and three shifts, as the density of students does not allow the development of normal learning.

 Erion Veliaj, with the large budget that Tirana Municipality had, from government funds for earthquake reconstruction, with funds from international partners and with the anti-constitutional tax for education, still has not completed the reconstruction of schools. The price of building schools is three times higher, compared to schools built or reconstructed by European Union funds.

And yet, even the reconstructed or rebuilt schools were conceived based on the old mindset where education takes place only in the classroom and a limited time of the students' stay in the school. In these schools, there are no spaces planned for functional libraries where students can read, there are no spaces for the development of activities and games or recreational environments during their stay at school or facilities where they can eat, canteen. It's just that the schools are conceived in the same way, as they were: reduced school hours and no space and air, teaching in shifts, not meeting any criteria of European standards.

All the words of Erion Veliaj in this direction are nothing but propaganda and deception, like the very philosophy of the government that characterizes it, that of the facade, without essence and without content.

Tirana sot ka nevojë më shumë se kurrë për çerdhe kopshte të reja mungesa e të cilave ka kufizuar nënat për punësim. Në vitin 1990 Tirana kishte 60 kopshte e çerdhe me një popullsi 195 mijë banorë brenda vijës së verdhë. Sipas shifrave të INSTAT dhe KQZ (2021) në Tiranë banojnë rreth 685 mijë banorë dhe Tirana sot ka 40 kopshte me drekë, 5 kopshte pa dreke dhe  36 çerdhe.
