From ballot procedures to postal service/ CEC provides details for overseas

Just a few weeks before the May 11 parliamentary elections, the Central Election Commission has shared important information for overseas voters.

Postal service

DHL INTERNATIONAL ALBANIA SH.PK is the postal service operator selected to deliver the election documentation/ballot papers from the CEC to voters and return the ballot papers to the CEC.

Voters will not pay anything for this service, as the costs are covered by the state budget.

The contractual cost with the company is 9,222,716 euros excluding VAT from the limit fund of 12 million euros.

The average price for a shipment (round trip) is 37.52 euros excluding VAT.

Ballot Paper

The process of printing ballots for voters abroad has begun.

Around April 7-8, 2025, the ballots will arrive in Albania.

Around April 9-10, 2025, the packaging of envelopes, election documentation, and ballots for delivery to voters abroad will begin.

Around April 15-17, 2025, the process of packaging election documentation for voters abroad will be completed.

Completing these steps within the stipulated deadlines ensures sufficient time for the delivery of the ballot to voters, leaving them more time to vote and return it to the CEC.

For the voting procedure and the necessary actions for voters abroad, the CEC is preparing an informational/tutorial spot.

An assistance system for voters abroad is also being created to provide information and clarification on the actions they should follow.
