The spokeswoman of the Tirana campaign of the "Together We Win" coalition, Silvi Bardhi, has denounced that important leaders in the Municipality of Tirana have put family members and relatives in comfortable positions, with good salaries that cost citizens 1 million euros.  

" Erion Veliaj left over 10 million euros in debt in the two mandates he ran the Municipality of Tirana.

These are obligations that the citizens of Tirana will repay.

While he has increased taxes and fees and released the municipal police in punitive campaigns, collecting millions of euros, again, all this is not enough for Erion Veliaj.

This is his governance.

There are hundreds of City Hall employees who are paid with our taxes, simply to serve Erion Veliaj, his personal profile, the political interests he has.

Hundreds of employees who are supported by our taxes, make sure that Erjon Veliaj appears well in public, is liked, and distributed on social networks.

Erion Veliaj himself, in the first half of last year, spent 4 and a half months abroad, receiving at least 11 thousand euros per diem.

While these trips have not brought any benefit to the city, no foreign investment, no service that is valuable for our lives.

During a partial observation of the officials, among 270 names, 127 nepotistic appointments result. The most important leaders of the Municipality have put their family members and relatives in comfortable positions with good salaries.

This is unfair.

The poorest taxpayers of Europe do not have to sacrifice so much, so that Erion Veliaj looks good in public.

Change is needed.

The citizens of Tirana have it in their hands to return the City Hall to normality and to serve the city, not the mayor", said Silvi Bardhi.
