With Jenisher, Kosta and Kujtim Gjuzi, Albania will look more

Yesterday at midnight, the "Democratic Party - Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition was submitted to the Central Election Commission.

The coalition is composed of 26 parties, the Democratic Party, and 25 other political forces, which makes this coalition as strange in composition as it is ridiculous.

The coalition includes a prisoner for corruption and concealment of assets (Meta), a person under investigation (Mediu), an opposition leader under obligation to appear (Berisha), all three of whom seem to be haunted by the past of the times when they governed together, because they are accused of past actions.

In addition to traditional allies like Duka, Ndoka, Mediu and, not infrequently, Meta, Berisha has also introduced political forces created by characters from the "new opposition" created in 2019 after the official opposition burned its mandates, figures who seem to have emerged from Cervantes' work "Don Quixote".

After the 2021 elections, it seemed that MPs like Selami Jenisheri or Kujtim Gjuzi would not return, at least they should not return in a normal democracy where MPs are the voice of the citizens.

We recall that the "new opposition" consisted of MPs like "Kërpërata" or Majlinda Haliaj, who replaced Basha after her mandate expired, Kostaq Papa, "the boy with curly hair who seduced women with whiskey" in his youth (now hairless), or Kujtim Gjuzi with the strange watch and clothing who did not know how to articulate any issue in the Assembly about the situation and chaos in which the country was located.

Today, Gjuzi, Jenisher and Papa lead several political forces that it is unknown how the court gave them the right to be created, based only on their names.

Kujtim Gjuzi leads the political force National Conservative Party of Albania. Selami Jenisheri, known as the MP with the “pink” bicycle, leads the Popular Union of Albanian Pensioners. Kostaq Papa, the “curly” boy, leads the Albanian Emigration Party.

If we go deeper into the list, we see that Dule and Idrizi are on the same side. Is the fight against Rama stronger than the issues and causes that divide them?

Berisha said he will decide on the safe list and the open list of allies because he is forced to. So someone from the primaries will be replaced by Jenisher, Gjuzi or Kacurrelsi just because he has not crossed the threshold.

This coalition seems to represent everyone, but not the normal people of this country. And finally, we are analyzing the name. How can these characters make Albania great?

Why do we need grandeur when it can simply be normal, that's enough. /CNA
