"Right for Development" Coalition/Shehi: It will be the right alternative for citizens

Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha, in a statement to the media, reiterated the request to extend the deadline for registering voters from the diaspora until March 9.
The leading democrat said that Edi Rama and Damian Gjiknuri's refusal to accept the request shows their fear of the free vote of 500,000 rejected Albanians.
"Edi Rama personally, in the year of the diaspora, ordered his representatives at the CEC to reject the proposal of the DP representatives to extend until at least the 9th the registration of members of the diaspora to participate in the May 11th elections.
The categorical refusal of Edi Rama and his representative, Damian Gjiknuri, proves the fear and terror that has gripped them and their criminal party from the free vote of Albanians abroad.
This refusal is a major violation of the country's Constitution.
This refusal is the exclusion from the right to vote of at least 500 thousand, according to official figures, but other figures speak of 800 thousand Albanians abroad, who had expired documents.
Not including hundreds of thousands of others, who do not have documents issued in Albania, but have regular official biometric documents issued in the countries where they live.
With this decision, Edi Rama signs his historical shame.
With this decision, he proves that he is hopeless in the May 11 elections.
I take this opportunity to call on all Albanians to use these remaining hours for their massive registration, also in an act of punishment for the man who has a terrible phobia of their vote.
Berisha called on the SP representatives in the Central Election Commission to oppose Rama and show themselves to be true socialists.
"Meanwhile, the last call is for his representatives in the CEC regulatory body to oppose Edi Rama's decision, to vote with the opposition representatives, because in this way they will rise to the height of the country's Constitution and will not become mercenaries to completely exclude over 500 thousand Albanians from the right to vote," Berisha said.
Berisha said that this is a violation of the country's Constitution and an unprecedented act in the country's electoral history.
"This is an unprecedented act in electoral history, therefore the debate is taking place in the regulatory body of the CEC. I invite the representatives of the SP to show themselves to be true socialists and not representatives of Edi Rama's criminal party that is afraid and terrified of the Albanian vote," said the leading democrat."The DP never undertakes to oppose the exercise of the right to vote by Albanian citizens under any circumstances, it cannot happen in any case.
But what we say is to extend the deadline to the minimum of the 9th, since the normative act was voted only 3 days ago.
But we are for every person who has applied to be recognized for their right to vote, to be sanctioned, to be confirmed.
So, we do not caste with the right to vote, we do not have phobias like Edi Rama who has committed heinous crimes and now seeks, after these crimes, to block the voting of the diaspora", said Berisha./ CNA
