Presidency Meeting/ Berisha: Rama is destroying the justice system in relation

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, delivered his speech at the opening of the leadership meeting.

In his speech, Berisha said that Prime Minister Rama, with his actions, is totally destroying the justice system in relation to the state and the administration.

The chief democrat accused Rama of seizing the Constitutional Court in the most barbaric way, imposing powers on it.

Further, Berisha declared that this imposition was made in the most unconstitutional manner.

 

 

" Prime ministers have been arrested, deputy prime ministers have been arrested, ministers and deputy ministers have been prosecuted, but it has never been thought that the executive should block the justice system."

With his actions, he is in fact totally destroying this system in relation to the state and the administration.

The Constitutional Court, as you saw, was seized in a barbaric manner.

It forced the court to assume the constitutional powers of the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court.

No letter, no article of Albanian legislation provides for the Constitutional Court to review security measures before they are reviewed by the three-tier justice system. Not in any article.

"This forced the court to take over the power of other courts in the most unconstitutional way ," Berisha said./CNA
