Kanye West concert/ Fierce debate between Zhupa and Gonxha in the special

This Tuesday, present in the special committee, Minister Blendi Gonxhja and MP Ina Zhupa were involved in a debate.

The issue of debate between them was the concert held in Tirana by American rapper Kanye West, for which the government allocated 4.2 million euros from the Civil Emergencies Fund for the smooth running of the event.

According to Zhupa, it was a private and anticipated concert, which does not match the high figure, and which, according to her, is not related to the concept of emergency.

On the other hand, Gonxha defended the decision made by the government, as he said, otherwise, the concert would not have taken place.

Zhupa: You gave 4.2 million euros for a private concert when you had promised not to give a single lek. How do you conceive the urgency of a planned concert? The urgency was the lack of ticket sales? What was the need to give this money? Where is the logic and urgency of a private concert? Explain to us where the 100 million euros that would come to us for tourism are? You gave the money, suppose the parliament does not approve it, what happens Mr. Gonxhe, will Kanye West return it?

Gonxhja : The administration acted according to the normative act, immediately after its publication in the Official Gazette. The public does not need to know how the majority and the Socialist Party function. If there were a failure to hold the concert and the concert would not have been held, then we would have answered your question about how we would get the money, etc.

Zhupa: It was normal that the event would take place because you took care of it.

Gonxha: If there is no support from parliament, ask this question later.

Zhupa: Explain to me why you made this decision, why it is necessary and why urgent? Why this money of Albanians that you could have really used for an emergency?

Gonxha: You know that I know the problems because I am the most voted MP on the open list, without arrogance.

Zhupa: It would be hard to ask for 4.3 million euros for a concert, when we don't have a plane to put out fires or use wood to heat schools?

Gonxha: Don't start with morals and hypocrisy about hospitals and other stories, because I can easily refute them.
