Democratic MP Belind Këlliçi reacted during this Monday's plenary session regarding the time available for reports to the Assembly by the heads of justice institutions, as part of the agenda.

In his speech, Këlliçi stated that opposition MPs should have the right to speak and ask questions, as they represent the people, at a time when many serious events have occurred.

"It is a mockery of the Assembly's regulations and the right to speak of the deputies. It is also a mockery of the representatives of the institutions. What you say about parliamentary practice is consolidated. The proceedings of 2023 and 2024 were directed at the heads of the justice institutions. To come to a question, presentation and logic are needed. We have been here for over 10 hours. All the questions were directed by the opposition deputies. I do not understand why you want to remove the questions. At a time when judges have been killed in the halls. For 6 weeks now, we have not been given the right to speak. The truth is that the opposition deputies carry out a voluminous job, they represent the people, so please allow the session to function normally," said Këlliçi. /CNA
