New Penal Code/ Berisha: Edi Rama's offices have emerged from the

DP leader Sali Berisha has commented on the drafting of the New Penal Code. According to Berisha, the content of the new Penal Code came from the mafia's caves and Edi Rama's offices.

The opposition leader stated that changing the Criminal Code every 10 years means that vested interests force you to take such an act, and when you do so secretly without any prior consultation with key stakeholders, lawyers, judges, Civil Society, the media, etc.

"Two days ago, the drug state presented Albania's criminal drug code, in which citizens are mercilessly targeted and treated with maximum leniency.

In 1995, the first Criminal Code was adopted, in 2014, the Criminal Code that is in force today was drafted, and less than 10 years later, another text of the Criminal Code emerges from the mafia's caves without any consultation, from Rama's offices.

"The codes are supplemented with criminal offenses, with practices that must be implemented, but changing the code every 10 years means that very sharp interests force you to take such an act, and when you do this secretly without any prior consultation with the main factors, with lawyers, judges, civil society, the media, etc.," said Berisha./ CNA
