The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a conversation today with residents in the Kombinat area in Tirana. During this meeting, Berisha also discussed the 'DP-Greater Albania' program.

In his speech, Berisha said that the DP's program for the next 4 years is created with the best expertise.

"I am pleased to be here to present to you our project for the next 4 years. I come with the deep conviction that we have the best program before the Albanians. Because we have the best global expertise. They have reviewed and evaluated our program," said Berisha.

Berisha said that the state should implement the principle of tax refunds in various public services.

"This program has experience. As you are witnessing, we made a big change in the state's attitude towards citizens. This was expressed first of all in the tax refund. This is a fundamental principle for those who govern. The state is like a family. And as the head of the family, the family's income must be distributed. The state must also return taxes, first to citizens and then to others for services in health, education and public works", said Berisha.

Berisha stated that in the 8 years of his government, there have been major positive developments in the economy and, according to him, it has been an achievement even in relation to the countries of the region.

"A miracle happened in Albania that surpasses all imagination. From 2005 to 2013, there are no teachers and nurses who can say that their salary did not double. There was an increase in the high and medium pension. The first act is to return the money to you. We managed to be the best-paid citizens in the region. This was Albania in 2013. I do not stop at this to praise myself," said Berisha./CNA
