The Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, participated in an electoral meeting in the city of Librazhd, where he was welcomed by citizens and supporters of the Socialist Party.

"If you want a job, vote for Edi Rama; if you want sleep, where did Luli learn it? He learned it from Saliu! No more. Let's make a father, to be like you. And therefore, today we say to the Albanians, we say to the beloved people of Librazhd that the choice in these elections is very simple: who wants Europe, votes for Edi Rama; who wants the pit, you know," said Balla.

During his speech, Balla emphasized the importance of the vote on May 11 and urged support for the Socialist Party.

"How many of you, how many thousands, have asked me for help, while you have been bumping into embassy doors all these years, waiting your turn to get a letter to go to Greece, to get an appointment at the German embassy to go to work in Germany. This story ends on May 11. If you vote for the Socialist Party, you get a European passport. If you waste your vote, your vote goes to waste. And therefore, in these elections, not many votes, but all votes. Who is the one here in Librazhd who will try the owl again? You tried it in '92, it didn't work. You ended it in '97 with Albania in flames, with thousands of lives lost. Who has forgotten the lives lost in 1997? Who has forgotten the money lost by emigrants in 1997? Or is he now saying: 'I'm sorry I made a mistake.'" "And when did you come for the second time? You came for the second time with flames in Gërdec, bullets in the Boulevard and a huge pit of debt into which you sank Albania, and where pensioners are hurting today," Balla said.

Balla focused on justice reform and the arrests of high-profile figures, even within the Socialist Party.

"Now, after 34 years, what does this guy want from Albania? What is something that Albania has not given him? It gave him everything: made him prime minister, made him president, gave him a house, gave him complexes. He took the 'Partizani' complex for granted and says: 'No, I didn't take it, my son-in-law took it.'" Now let him face justice. Who imagined in 2013 that a day would come when justice would be done in this country? Who imagined in 2013 that presidents, prime ministers, deputy prime ministers, parliament speakers and ministers would go to justice? Never forget. The Socialist Party of Albania has done this. Even for those who say that there are ministers of the Socialist Party who go to justice, I am grateful that the day has finally come for us to go to justice all equally. This is a good thing. Because we are also in the time of Easter, God did not do this, Allah did not do this, the Socialist Party did this", said Balla.

Balla recalled the time when Basha and Berisha locked themselves in a tent just to avoid voting on the Justice Reform laws.

"With our votes in Parliament in 2016, the Socialist Party of Albania was ready to break the coalition with Ilir Meta's party, just to vote for the Justice Reform. You remember — both Luli and Saliu, were locked in a tent just so that the Justice Reform laws would not be voted on. This should not be forgotten. Finally, Balla had a few words about the candidates for deputies who will represent Librazhd, and called on the Democrats to vote for them.

"But I also have this for the Democrats. We need to take two Librazhdi candidates to Parliament and me the third. Let's go into a little analysis — Arbri is also coming out of Librazhdi, because he is here across Stëbleva. But my concern is also Olsi Komici. We must all come together, vote no. 5, the Socialist Party, and Olsi Komici, to give Librazhdi strength.
