Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the meetings he held today in Kolonjë, met with the community of socialists and progressives from Kolonjë, for Albania in the EU. In his speech, Rama said that joining the EU is not simply a matter of dignity.

"Entering the EU is not simple, it is definitely a matter of dignity, but it is not simply a matter of dignity. With entering the EU, the funds that we will have available to support the village, to support rural development, to support agrotourism", said Rama.

Rama once again mocked the opposition, saying that to keep them out of the EU, they have the swamp owl.

"You have Edi Rama here, whether in the EU or outside the EU, here I am. But outside the EU you don't need me, you need me to take you to the EU, not to keep you outside the EU."

"To keep you out of the EU, you have the barn owl, but it's useless for you to take it by mouth because you have been singing its song here since before it became an owl," Rama said. /CNA
