"We have freed up 100 thousand square meters of public space"/

Tirana's Political Leader, Ogerta Manastirliu, continued public meetings with residents of Units 8 and 9, as part of the tour of hearings with the citizens of Tirana for the presentation of the 2026 budget for Tirana and Albania.

" We are here to talk about the 2026 Budget, but above all to address your concerns that we not only have in mind but have addressed and continue to address year after year in our budgets and to talk specifically about how we have found solutions and what the projects and priorities are for the 2026 Budget ," said Manastirliu.

Manastirliu focused on projects that aim to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood and restore public spaces to the community.

"For us, every day of the year is a communication campaign with residents, with communities, with all those citizens who want to see the city even more developed and want to touch these investments in the neighborhood, on the street, in the place where they live. We have launched an operation to free up public spaces, which is continuing with intensity throughout Tirana, creating opportunities to now have about 100 thousand square meters of public space available for projects. There are more than 1000 spaces, there are 1000 opportunities to be used in the community, for more playgrounds for children, for more recreational spaces for the elderly, for more spaces and sports corners in the neighborhood." , said Manastirliu.

At the meeting, the Political Director of the Socialist Party for Tirana presented the "super blocks" project, which aims to transform the urban areas of the neighborhoods, increase security and expand accessible public spaces for all residents. She also emphasized the importance of improving public transportation.

Budget hearings will continue in other units of the capital, with a focus on priorities directly related to the community and improving urban life./ CNA.
