Rama in Brussels: The EU enlargement process is a reunion for the future

Prime Minister Edi Rama today described the EU enlargement process as a reunification of the continent for the future of Europe itself.

In his speech at the forum held today in Brussels, Rama said that this reunification occurs as Europe tries to find itself in the difficult times we are experiencing.

"Thank you for putting me back on this battlefield of ideas for the future of Europe. In this future that we have with all the shades of gray even on the day of promise. You invited me to talk about enlargement, but I have spoken about it so often that I could publish a book with sketches of my hair. And you know what? I will not give up on enlargement. Because there is an inseparable connection between enlargement and Europe, but as a citizen of a continent that has a history woven with war, rivalry and reconciliation. I prefer to use the word "reunification" because this is actually the concept. A necessity in a continent that must find itself as it moves strongly and mercilessly", said Rama./CNA
