The secretary for legal affairs in DP, Ivi Kaso, in an interview for CNA TV, accused Lulzim Basha, as he repeated the opposition's request for a technical government.

Kaso said that the request for a technical government, at the time when the PD was led by Lulzim Basha, we only heard as a refrain.

He raised accusations that Basha sold the election agreement with a technical government, before they were realized.

The secretary for legal affairs in DP emphasized that as a result of that bargain, the opposition had a poor result in the elections.

"The need for a technical government, which is not only articulated as a refrain that we have unfortunately also heard in other elections when there was another DP direction, and unfortunately that request was also sold in a pre-election period and we saw what a bad result it produced in the elections, it comes as a necessity especially from the recent positions of the international partners, who have monitored the election processes.

There are not two alternatives, two political offers, or two political parties competing, but unfortunately a political party or a coalition of opposition parties competes against the state on the other hand. We all know, we are all aware of how unequal the race is. No political party, regardless of its resources, regardless of the human resources and the electoral offer it has, can compare its resources with the infinitely greater resources of the state.

To solve this situation and make the electoral playing field as required by the OSCE-ODIHR standards, to make it equal, the only way is to have a technical government, if the majority agrees to institutionalize this in every pair of elections, as a mechanism which aims to prevent the bad use of state resources, which distort the electoral processes to a great extent", emphasized Kaso./ CNA
