Just as CNA and journalist Klodiana Lala have warned, the statement and investigations about the Tirana incinerator are nearing the end.

Lala said in the show "The Unexposed" that in the final stage there will be some other security measures, while he said that the Municipality of Tirana and the role of the mayor Erion Veliaj are being investigated.

She stated that at the moment the focus is on money and issues that basically concern Veliaj.

"Several apartments have been checked, and it is thought that evidence related to the incinerator affair can be found. At the moment, the entire investigation of the special prosecutors is concentrated in the municipality of Tirana, because we must bear in mind that in addition to the investigation being carried out for the manner, for other procedures in the queue, today the prosecutors are looking at where the money of an incinerator ended up of Tirana.

What is the role of the mayor, Mr. Veliaj, and in this context there have been actions, but of course, given that the actions have not been made public due to the developments, but I think they are towards a final stage regarding the incinerator of Tirana for there was also the finalization of other persons who may go under security measures, but at the moment we speak, the prosecutors are focused and oriented only in the direction of the money, that is, where the money ended up.

Ahmetaj filed a charge, if you remember, for 60 million euros, which is not known where they ended up, raising doubts about specific names, and SPAK is verifying them. Will it go to Mr. Veliaj? I am looking into this matter, but there have been investigative actions in several dimensions, there have been checks of bank accounts, you know, in parallel, a property investigation has been launched for Mr. Veliaj and members of his family.

Even in the context of the other file 5D, because we have to take into account that 5D is the company which was de facto controlled by the main directors and the most trusted people of Erion Veliajt.

The 5D company has also received building permits in at least three cases, and these building permits, these buildings that have been erected, some of them have been sold. The prosecution had the greatest difficulty not to penalize those citizens who took loans or investments and invested their life savings to buy an apartment.
