The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, opened a tender of 3.5 million old lek for a return ticket to Germany, for the first match of the Albanian national team with Italy, in Euro 2024.

Veliaj spent 3.5 million ALL from the municipality's budget for a personal ticket.

This abuse of citizens' taxes was mentioned this evening by the democratic vice president of the Municipal Council, Dorian Teliti.

He said that this amount is equal to 60 economic aids for citizens.

"Two days ago we were at the protest in front of the Tirana municipality, you saw the cowards, you saw the cowards surrounded by police fences, you saw how they don't dare to go out in front of the citizens to give an account.

And what was Erion Veliaj doing?

As it appeared in the media, the municipality of Tirana spent 3,500 euros this Thursday to buy just one plane ticket, for just one plane ticket, I repeat. 

But who is this ticket for except for the mayor?!
