On Saturday, the Democratic Party held a meeting with citizens and sympathizers in Permet, the first meeting since Apeli made the decision to give the seal to former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

In his speech, the political leader of the DP for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, said that now is the time for unity and cooperation. He emphasized that at no time would he want Enkelejd Alibeaj and Lulzim Basha in the party. 

"We refounded it and fought for a pluralism that was won with blood in exceptional conditions. We will consider that chapter as closed from the day of the decision. Today the battle is with Rama and his spear. From Përmet, let's extend our hand to anyone who has left behind and had differences with us, to join together. If we have a common opponent, we must be together. I would not like the Alibasha pair to come to DP, but these are my personal views. Time to close the chapter and continue the battle", he said./ CNA
