Nikolla and Spiropali, "brushes" to the Xhafaj commission

The President of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, and the Minister for Relations with the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, participated in the first meeting of the Special Commission, which will call the state institutions to the Appeal.

The commission headed by Fatmir Xhafaj, otherwise known as the last Enverist, made the constitution today.

During the meeting, Lindita Nikolla's "brushes" were not missing for this commission set up by the majority, without the cooperation of the opposition.

Besides praising the commission, they also gave messages to the opposition, which boycotted the meeting.

"There is an important national mission, with the responsibility that the assembly has charged for the crowning of Albania's membership in the EU, through the rule of law and the fight against corruption, the commission will have the full support of the assembly and my personal support. The commission has no political charge or party interest. Since it is a comprehensive commission, I regret that the opposition is not present", said Nikolla.

Even Spiropali boasted of Xhafaj's commission, claiming that it will help Albania's membership in the EU.

"Dear colleagues and members of the Special Commission for Anticorruption, the process of negotiations for EU membership will give further impetus to this phase. Continuity towards integration will require the completion of reforms. One of the main challenges is related to the necessity to complete the reforms, such as the reform in justice and the reform in public administration. These measures come as a manifestation and as our belief that this issue requires a national approach and inclusiveness. The government is not integrated into the EU, but the Albanian state. Our hand to the opposition MPs remains extended. Political debates are temporarily remembered. The dialogue constitutes a new and necessary approach for a new cycle of reforming the role of the Assembly", declared Spiropali./ CNA
