The member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Grigels Muçollari, denounced this Saturday that the building of the former ATSH is on the government's list to be transformed into a tower of dozens of floors.

In a statement to the media, Muçollari said that with decision 328 of May 29, the National Agency for Territorial Planning is authorized to start the competition for ideas on how these properties will be developed.

Full statement:

This building, the former Atsh, a well-known building in Tirana, is on the government's list to be transformed into a tens-of-story tower.

It is about Edi Rama's plan to build skyscrapers on state properties and buildings.

With decision 328 of May 29, the National Agency for Territorial Planning is authorized to start the competition for ideas on how these properties will be developed.

Until now, there is no transparency for the public, which are all the lands that the government will share with the private sector, with its favorite customers in the best and most expensive areas of Tirana.

These state and public assets are treated as if they were the properties of Edi Rama.

Edi Rama is not the owner of ATSH, nor of the Civil Aviation land, or the Construction Institute, or the Cadastre at the entrance to the Lake Park.

These are the properties and assets of Albanians, of all those who have paid taxes and duties and who continue to contribute with their work and effort to this country.

The Democratic Party will demand full transparency for this project, which is another act of abuse and clientelism, with a predetermined winner in the prime minister's antechamber.

We invite citizens to react, to demand their rights. Citizens should be asked, as these are the property and wealth of Albanians, not of Edi Rama./ CNA
