The artist Mehdi Malkaj spoke in harsh tones to the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, during his speech at the protest in front of the Tirana City Hall.

Malkaj called Veliaj a stinker and a thief, while accusing him of destroying Tirana.

He challenged Veliaj to come before the citizens and face them, while warning that he will never stop his protests.

"This is the thief of thieves. This stench left nothing to destroy us, it even destroyed the mountain of Dajti. You swore to us, not to the leaders. Where are you police?
