Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha made a promise to the citizens during his speech at the night protest, on "Mustafa Matohiti" street.

Berisha said he will double salaries and pensions as soon as he comes to power. He raised the alarm, as he said that the sirens of scarcity are screaming in Albania.

The leader of the DP emphasized that he is determined to provide an emergency response to poverty, making a new distribution of income.

"Everywhere in Albania, the sirens of scarcity are howling. Everywhere in Albania, poverty will knock more and more on the doors of Albanians. The Democratic Party is determined to provide an emergency response to the poverty that is increasingly afflicting Albanians.

The Democratic Party is determined that in a first act there will be no Albanians in Albania, regardless of whether they are children or adults, pensioners or unemployed, who will not receive the vital minimum of 220 euros per month.

A new distribution of income in Albania and for Albanians is vital and urgent.

The Democratic Party is determined to double salaries and pensions throughout the country in its first mandate and to lay the sure foundations for the next doubling in the future.

The Democratic Party believes that halving taxes is the way to promote the free initiative of Albanians. Anyone who hears these promises will rightfully ask the question, where will you get the money? I tell you here with absolute conviction that money exists, but it is stolen, stolen, and only stolen", stressed Berisha./ CNA
