Deputy Jorida Tabaku has announced through one of her posts on social networks that she has initiated a legal initiative for a complete package in the field of consumer protection in the banking sector.
According to the deputy, the initiative is only aimed at protecting borrowers from predatory lending practices and criminal actions, which also means the alignment of all legislation for financial services.
Tabaku emphasizes that together with a group of specialists who are bipartisan, he has undertaken since the beginning of this month an initiative that will be crowned in the following weeks to protect the rights of consumers in the field of financial services.
"I undertook a legal initiative for a complete package in the field of consumer protection in the banking sector.
The initiative is only aimed at protecting borrowers from predatory lending practices and criminal actions, which also means the alignment of all legislation for financial services. I will commit my energies to what I think and believe is the primary duty of the Assembly: the protection of citizens and their interests.
With the same passion as in the case of interest protection when the affair of the incinerators was discovered or the dedication to protect the interests of the middle class with the unconstitutional law of taxing free professions.
This initiative is basically the adaptation and not only a law for microcredits, FinTech financing and interest according to the standards of the European Union. An initiative that naturally necessarily serves a market eager for order and the rule of law. An initiative that I believe and hope will find the support of my colleagues on both sides of the parliamentary political isle.
The duty of a deputy in the Assembly is to protect the interests of the public and at the same time to be a pioneer and propose legal changes or new laws to protect this interest. Therefore, together with a group of specialists who are bipartisan, I have undertaken since the beginning of this month an initiative that will be crowned in the following weeks to protect the rights of consumers in the field of financial services", writes Jorida Tabaku among others .
Deputy Jorida Tabaku cannot propose such an initiative for banks as she herself is in a pure conflict of interest according to the law.
According to the documents provided by CNA, the husband of MP Jorida Tabaku, Saimir Sallaku, is a member of the board of Credins bank.
Documents clearly show why Jorida Tabaku cannot be the person who should propose such a legal initiative.

According to the data provided by CNA, Saimir Sallaku is a member of this board from 23.06.2022 to 23.06.2023.

So, all this shows that Jorida Tabaku is proposing laws for banks while being in a pure conflict of interest and these documents prove it./ CNA
