In a reaction on the Facebook social network, the Coordinator for the Economic Program in the Democratic Party, Dorjan Teliti, stated that the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, did not call a meeting of the Municipal Council for the approval of economic aid for the month of August.

According to him, the meeting of the Council should have been announced at least five days before, but until now no communication has been made in this regard. This is another scandal on the part of Veliaj.

Teliti accuses Veliaj and his advisers of denying economic aid to hundreds of poor families in Tirana, leaving them without support.
