The mayor of Vlora, Ermal Dredha, has resigned. The news is confirmed by sources to CNA.
Dredha's resignation comes after harsh criticism from the Prime Minister regarding mismanagement of affairs in the Municipality of Vlora and illegal construction.
Dredha was elected mayor of Vlora in the 2023 elections.
The Prime Minister criticized the lack of water supply during the summer season in this municipality, considering it an unacceptable situation, as well as the waste situation.
Rama also made another strong statement regarding Dredha, saying that the Municipality of Vlora has reached the point of absurdity by financing a private television station with tens of thousands of euros.
He also criticized him, saying that he turns a blind eye to the illegal constructions that have been carried out on the coast of Vlora./ CNA
