Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi spoke this evening regarding Florjan Binaj's candidacy for Tirana mayor and the support he has received from opposition parties.

Këlliçi said that Binaj has not yet met with the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, as he emphasized that he is an independent candidate. He said that Binaj has his own program and vision, but indicated that the electoral engine of this campaign is the Democratic Party.

"Binaj has not yet met with Mr. Berisha, because Flori, believe it or not, is an independent candidate. He announced his candidacy himself. Flori is a man who comes from public life, a man who has defended his causes. That is why political experimentation is needed. Binaj has his convictions and program, we do not interfere with them. We do not interfere with his entire vision. But the electoral engine of this normal campaign is the Democratic Party. The moment has come to unite every opposition factor. The Opportunity Party and the Albania Becomes Movement have the largest part of the electorate in Tirana.
