Rama on Farage's visit to Albania: He asked to come on Independence Day, I

Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke in London about the illegal immigration of Albanian immigrants to Britain and the statements of British MP Nigel Farage. Rama said that cooperation with the British government continues to combat organized crime and migrant trafficking.

He further indicated that he had spoken with the British MP about his visit to Albania, which he said is expected to take place in the coming months. Meanwhile, as he has stated previously, Rama said that British centers for receiving immigrants will not be allowed in Albania.

"We have waged a long war with a series of British prime ministers. It started with Rishi Sunak and continues with Keir Starmer. It is the war on organized crime and trafficking networks. So it is not an operation, it is a systemic confrontation with this disease of networks that traffic people."

When it comes to my dear friend Nigel. I invited him and he asked me for a date that coincided with the date of independence. And I said we better find another date because you will have to face our national hero and you will look very small. So he will come.

"I think it's not up to us to decide who will be elected or not in Britain. But we have seen that the work of the government is completely different from the poetry in the opposition. Farage is not the problem, but he is a mirror of the problems, but he has a theatrical ability to be attractive but the problems lie elsewhere. When it comes to these similar centers, I have never said it in Albania," Rama said. /CNA
